RCH (Reproductive and Child Health) Portal

1. Data portal: rch.nhm.gov.in

2. Purpose:
a. Real-time tracking of RCH service delivery to eligible couple, pregnant women and immunisation services to children
b. Assess coverage of various RCH services and take corrective action
3. Methodology: Real-time line-listing of RCH services provided to each individual is captured in an online portal.

4. Indicators:

a. Full Immunisation Coverage
b. Coverage of each of the vaccines included in UIP
c. Early antenatal registration
d. Coverage of Inj. TT among antenatals
e. Antenatals who have received all 4 ANCs
5. Person responsible for data entry at the peripheral point: JPHN at subcentre
6. Frequency of reporting: Real-time reporting (as and when services are delivered)
7. Analysis/Use of data for economic development:
a. Assess effectiveness of program implementation
b. Assess outcomes of pregnancy and reasons thereof
c. Change/augment service provision to ensure better service delivery

HMIS (Health Management Information System)

1. Data portal: nrhm-mis.nic.in

2. Purpose:

a. Tracking of service delivery through institutions at various levels of the health system.
b. Assess service availability at each level of institution
c. Assess human resources availability at each level of institution

3. Methodology: Monthly reporting of aggregate service delivery data from each level of health system – subcentre, PHC, CHC, SDH and DH levels. Annual reporting of infrastructure and HR data.

4. Indicators:

a. Completeness of reporting
b. Various levels have various indicators based on service availability (formats attached)

5. Person responsible for entry at the peripheral point:
a. Subcentre – JPHN
b. PHC/CHC – PHN
c. SDH/DH – PHN/JPHN

6. Frequency of reporting:

a. Monthly reporting of aggregate service delivery data
b. Annual reporting of infrastructure and HR data

7. Analysis/Use of data for economic development:

a. Service availability and readiness assessment
b. Plan institution upgradation based on availability of infrastructure and service delivery provision
c. Assess gaps in health system – infrastructure, HR and service delivery
d. Data used for ranking/grading of health institutions
