Biomedical Equipment Maintenance Program(BEMP)

  • Implemented through KMSCL via Third Party (CYRIX Healthcare PVT Ltd) as a PPP model.
  • All medical equipment other than cold chain equipment exclusively for immunization of all Govt hospitals under DHS (warranty equipment will be added after the completion of existing contract)
  • 24X7 IVRS call center (toll free registration), Web enabled equipment management system with KMSCL &Third Party
  • Preventive Maintenance & Calibration
  • District level Monthly review meeting with third party agency and quarterly review with DMO/DPM /KMSCL and Third-Party Agency.
  • State Level Quarterly Review with District BMEs, KMSCL and Third Party

Procurement of Equipment based on ROP Approval through KMSCL

As per ROP approvals, NHM is giving Administrative Sanctions to KMSCL to procure, supply and install Equipment at various hospitals under different programmes every year. Payments after installation are given directly to the vendors based on the payment recommendation from KMSCL along with original invoices.

  • Equipment proposals are prepared for Programmes like
  • LaQshya – Labour room upgradation and Quality Improvement Program
  • Maternal Health Programme – Equipment to delivery points for MMR Reduction Programme (Maternal OT/LR/Wards)
  • ChildHealth Programmes- Equipment for IMR Reduction Programme (SNCU,NBSU)
  • Family Planning(Laparoscopes for sterilization)
  • Blood Bank/Blood Storage Units (strengthening of existing units & setting up new units)
  • Other Equipments under Anaesthesia, Surgery, Radiology, ENT, Ophthalmology, Operation Theatre etc as per IPHS standards for concerned level of institution.
  • PM –ABHIM– New Integrated Public Health Lab & Critical Care Units (Lab Diagnostic & CCU Equipment as per GOI Guidelines)
  • 15th Finance Commission Grants etc. – Diagnostic Equipment to Subcenters,PHCs, Block PHCs.
  • Aardram Project – Setting up of Laboratories (Equipment Supply)

District level procurement are also being carried out through e –tender/GeM of NHM Schemes & other funds including CSR Projects by District BMEs for DPMSUs.
